Met Office releases a Yellow warning for Yorkshire as high winds & rain are expected to start in rush hour today

The Met Office have released a statement saying that Leeds and Yorkshire are set to experience heavy rain and strong winds like the ones experienced earlier this week later today.

The strong winds and rain are predicted to hit this afternoon before rush hour and finish early in the hours of the morning. The Environment Agency is also set to make a statement and release a warning on the levels of rain fall that can create localised surface water flooding.

The winds are likely to reach around 60-70mph and accompanying that with the expected rain Yorkshire is likely to experience some disruption, the Met Office and local councils anticipate some minor disruption to traffic and isolated incidents of wind damage to property.
